On the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi, President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu conveyed her warm wishes to citizens across the globe, emphasizing the spiritual and cultural significance of the festival.
In her message, the President said, “On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, I extend my heartfelt greetings to every Indian in the country or abroad.” She highlighted the devotion and enthusiasm with which the festival is celebrated, noting that Lord Ganesha is revered as the harbinger of wisdom and well-being.
President Murmu encouraged citizens to seek the blessings of Bhagwan Shri Ganesh for new beginnings and the removal of obstacles. She added that the festival inspires people to pursue new goals with a positive spirit.
Importantly, she urged everyone to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi in an environmentally conscious manner. “Let us celebrate this festival while conserving our environment, and contribute towards building a cleaner, greener and more prosperous nation,” she said.
