President of India Droupadi Murmu extended warm greetings to citizens on the eve of Christmas, emphasising the values of love, compassion, and harmony.
In her message, the President said, “On this auspicious occasion of Christmas, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all citizens, especially brothers and sisters of the Christian community.”
She described Christmas as a festival of joy and enthusiasm that conveys the message of love and compassion. The President highlighted the sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ for the welfare of humanity and urged citizens to strengthen the values of peace, equality, and service in society.
“Let us resolve to follow the path shown by Jesus Christ and work towards building a society that promotes kindness and mutual harmony,” she added.
