President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Jharsuguda today aboard an Indian Air Force aircraft. Governor H B Kambhampati and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi greeted her warmly at the airport, marking the beginning of her visit to Odisha.
The President’s arrival drew significant attention as security forces ensured smooth arrangements across the district. After the ceremonial welcome, she prepared to continue her journey to Rourkela. She will travel by a dedicated helicopter to the steel city, where several programs await her participation.
President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate several landmark projects in Rourkela during her Odisha tour. According to the President’s Secretariat, she will open the planetarium, the science centre, and the Nirmal Munda Parivesh Path at a public function.
She will also inaugurate a tribal museum and an Integrated Command and Control Centre in Rourkela. These projects aim to strengthen scientific awareness, cultural preservation, and urban management in western Odisha.
Authorities have implemented extensive security measures across all venues listed in her itinerary. Police and administrative teams coordinated to ensure robust arrangements for the President’s engagements.
