After Punjab Kings’ heartbreaking loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2025 final, team co-owner Preity Zinta shared an emotional message on Instagram, expressing pride in her players and promising a stronger comeback.

Despite falling short, Zinta praised the team’s resilience, adaptability, and record-breaking run, saying, “It didn’t end the way we wanted… but the journey was spectacular.” She applauded the uncapped Indian players, the leadership of their captain—referred to as “Sarpanch”—and the support from fans.

“This year was unique,” she wrote, highlighting the team’s rise to the top of the points table despite losing key players and shifting venues. “We adapted and fought till the end.”

In a heartfelt close, she vowed: “We’ll come back to finish the job… the job is still half done.”

This was PBKS’ second-ever IPL final, their first since 2014, continuing their wait for a maiden title. Zinta was visibly emotional after the loss, seen comforting players like Shreyas Iyer post-match.
