Dhenkanal: Tension prevailed at District Headquarters Hospital after a pregnant woman in labour was left unattended for hours after testing positive for COVID-19.
Reportedly, the woman was taken for delivery of the baby after she complained of labour pain. Meanwhile, the hospital staff tried to evade the responsibility after her covid test came out positive.
The authority did not allow her to the hospital premises and allegedly asked the family members to shift her to SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack.
Later, the woman was shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
