XStand-up comedian Pranit More became emotional during his first live performance after facing widespread criticism over the viral ₹370 biryani controversy. A video from the show has surfaced on social media, showing the comedian fighting back tears as he thanked the audience for standing by him.

The clip, reportedly from a show in Georgia held on June 14, 2026, has gained traction online, with many viewers reacting to More’s heartfelt remarks.

‘Will People Accept Me?’

Addressing the audience, Pranit More admitted that he was unsure whether people would welcome him after the backlash.

“When I came on stage, I wondered if people would accept me. It felt really good that all of you were so supportive even after everything that happened. Thank you so much.”

He said the support from the audience meant a great deal to him during a difficult period.

‘I Didn’t Start Stand-Up for Fame or Money’

The comedian reflected on why he chose stand-up comedy as a career, saying it was never about becoming famous or earning money.

According to More, he entered comedy because it brought him happiness, and his goal was always to make others laugh.

He added that when audiences stop finding joy in his work, it naturally affects him emotionally.

Mother’s Advice Helped Him Move Forward

During the performance, More shared advice his mother gave him after the controversy.

He said she reminded him that everyone makes mistakes and encouraged him to let his actions demonstrate that he had learned from the experience.

Her words, he said, gave him the confidence to continue performing despite the criticism.

Pranit More Thanks Audience for a Second Chance

Towards the end of the show, the comedian became emotional again while expressing gratitude to those who continued to support him.

“Thank you so much for giving me another chance. I have performed many shows, but I will always remember this one and all of you.”

His remarks were met with applause from the audience.

What Was the ₹370 Biryani Controversy?

The controversy began after a clip from one of Pranit More’s crowd-work performances went viral on social media.

In the video, an audience member suggested that spending ₹370 on chicken biryani during a date entitled him to physical intimacy. The comment drew widespread criticism online.

Several social media users also questioned More for not immediately challenging the remark during the interaction. Following the backlash, the comedian issued a public apology.

The incident sparked broader discussions online about crowd-work comedy, audience interactions and the responsibility of performers when controversial remarks are made during live shows.
