LeT commander Saifullah warrant

A special NIA court in Jammu has issued a non-bailable warrant against Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Saifullah, accused of orchestrating multiple terror attacks, including the April 2025 Pahalgam massacre.

According to officials, Saifullah—also known by several aliases such as Sajid Jatt, Ali Bhai, Habibullah Malik, and Usman Habib—has been operating from Pakistan for over two decades, supplying weapons, funds, and directions to terrorists in the Kashmir Valley.

The warrant follows the NIA’s busting of a deep-rooted LeT module earlier this year, led by Pakistani terrorist Abdullah alias Abu Hureira, who was arrested along with accomplices. Investigations revealed Saifullah’s direct involvement, with Telegraph IDs linked to him recovered from arrested operatives.

The court order noted that Saifullah remains at large and has evaded attendance despite repeated attempts. The warrant has been forwarded to the SSP, Kulgam, for execution at his last known address in South Kashmir.

Officials said Saifullah had previously acted as LeT commander in Kulgam between 2005 and 2007 before exfiltrating to Pakistan. The NIA maintains that he continues to play a central role in directing attacks against security forces, civilians, and government establishments.
