To commemorate the birth anniversary of Pragativadi’s Founder Editor, Pradyumna Kishore Bal, on November 8, the annual ‘Prativa Vikash Pratiyogita’ has officially commenced.
Designed to foster intellectual and creative talent, the competition is open to students ranging from primary school to university levels across Odisha.
The month-long competition runs from September 15 to October 15, and no entry fee is required to participate.
Category Breakdown:

Classes 1 to 4: Drawing/Art Competition

Classes 5 to 8: Essay Writing (Special Category)

Classes 9, 10, and +2: Essay Writing

+3 (Undergraduate) and Postgraduate (PG): Essay Writing
Evaluation & Rewards:
Participants can find full rules and guidelines published in the daily print edition of Pragativadi or on its official web portal (pragativadi.com).
Following the October 15 deadline, a panel of judges will evaluate the submissions, with results scheduled for announcement on November 3, as confirmed by Lalitendu Pattnayak, Coordinator of the Competition Committee.
Winners will be honoured during the state-level Pradyumna Bal Birth Anniversary Ceremony on November 7.
Prize Structure:

1st Prize: Rs 10,000 cash and a certificate

Special Jury Prize: Rs 2,000 cash and a certificate
In a special event held at the Pragativadi office on Thursday evening, Justice (Retd.) Manoranjan Mohanty, the Chairman of the State-Level Pradyumna Bal Jayanti Committee, alongside Bijay Kumar Padhihari, All India General Secretary of the Indian Society for Cultural Co-operation and Friendship (ISCUF), attended as special guests.
