Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt Diwali greetings to the nation, calling on citizens to embrace unity, self-reliance, and collective growth. In his message, he reflected on India’s journey of progress and resilience, describing “Operation Sindoor” as a living example of Lord Ram’s courage and commitment to justice.

PM Modi Emphasizes India’s Strength and Progress

The Prime Minister said this is the second Deepavali after the grand Ram Temple’s construction in Ayodhya, marking a new chapter in India’s spiritual and cultural history.

He wrote,

“Lord Shri Ram teaches us to uphold righteousness and gives us the courage to fight injustice. We have seen a living example of this during Operation Sindoor, when Bharat not only upheld righteousness but also avenged injustice.”

PM Modi’s message highlighted how India has emerged as a symbol of stability and sensitivity in a world facing multiple crises.

End of Naxalism Brings New Light

Calling this Deepavali “particularly special,” PM Modi noted that lamps will be lit in districts once affected by Naxalism and Maoist violence. He said the eradication of extremism and the return of peace have allowed people in remote areas to join the mainstream of development.

“Many individuals have abandoned violence and expressed faith in the Constitution. This is a major achievement for our nation,” he said.

Focus on Economic Growth and Reforms

The Prime Minister also praised citizens for supporting the recent “GST Bachat Utsav” (Savings Festival), which has reduced tax rates and helped save thousands of crores of rupees.

He reiterated that India is on track to become the world’s third-largest economy, driven by both structural reforms and people’s participation in nation-building.

Message of Swadeshi and Self-Reliance

In his letter, PM Modi urged people to adopt Swadeshi (local products), maintain cleanliness, and promote Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat — a united and strong India.

He encouraged citizens to:

  • Reduce oil use in daily food by 10%

  • Practice yoga and prioritize health

  • Respect all Indian languages

  • Support locally made products

“Let us proudly say: ‘This is Swadeshi!’ Every small effort can illuminate India’s path toward becoming a Viksit Bharat,” he said.

Spreading the Light of Positivity

Drawing inspiration from the message of Deepavali, PM Modi concluded:

“When one lamp lights another, its brightness does not fade — it multiplies. Let us light lamps of harmony, cooperation, and positivity in our homes and hearts this Deepavali.”
