Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Odisha on June 12 to participate in the celebrations marking the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The event, set to take place at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar, will showcase the achievements of the BJP government since it assumed office last year. Sources indicate that the celebrations will include a performance report card, thematic documentaries, and state-level functions focusing on women empowerment, youth development, tribal welfare, and farmers’ issues.
Apart from PM Modi, the program is likely to witness the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah and several Union Cabinet members. The BJP aims to highlight the benefits of its ‘double-engine’ governance, emphasising development initiatives undertaken in the state over the past year.
Political analysts suggest that the event could also serve as a platform for BJP leaders to bolster support ahead of upcoming elections. With major rallies and public engagements planned, the party is expected to reinforce its commitment to Odisha’s progress.
Further details regarding PM Modi’s itinerary and announcements during his visit are awaited.
