The trailer for Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, dropped today, offering a vibrant glimpse into a cross-cultural romance that blends comedy, music, and cinematic grandeur.
Directed by Dinesh Vijan, the film is set for theatrical release on August 29.
Malhotra plays Param, a spirited Punjabi boy from Delhi, while Kapoor portrays Sundari, a graceful South Indian woman rooted in Kerala’s traditions. The trailer teases a playful yet emotional journey as their worlds collide, with references to Rajinikanth and SRK adding a nostalgic touch.
The music, composed by Sachin–Jigar with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, promises to be a highlight. Songs like “Pardesiya” and the monsoon-themed “Bheegi Saree” featuring Adnan Sami and Shreya Ghoshal are already generating buzz.
Janhvi Kapoor shared her emotional connection to the role, saying Sundari reflects her own South Indian heritage. Sidharth Malhotra described the film as a fresh take on classic romance, enriched by Kerala’s visual magic. Director Tushar Jalota emphasised the film’s theme of celebrating differences through love.
With its blend of humour, heart, and cultural richness, Param Sundari is poised to be a crowd-pleaser this August.
