The Mechanised Coal Handling Plant (MCHP) of Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has achieved a significant operational milestone by recording its highest-ever single-day coal loading of 1,40,022 metric tonnes (MT) on 10 October 2026 across two vessels, M.V. APJ Indraniand M.V. Ripley Pinnacle.
The latest achievement surpasses the previous record of 1,37,500 MT, achieved on 29 May 2022 through the loading operations of M.V. Arethousa and M.V. ISL Star. The new record marks an increase of 2,522 MT over the previous benchmark, reflecting improved operational efficiency and enhanced cargo-handling performance at Paradip Port.
Susanta Kumar Purohit, IRSEE, Chairperson, Paradip Port Authority, congratulated all the workers, officers and personnel associated with the Mechanised Coal Handling Plant (MCHP) for achieving the new single-day loading record of 1,40,022 MT on 10 October 2026.
