Music composer Palash Muchhal was seen publicly for the first time on Monday following a recent health scare and the sudden postponement of his wedding to cricketer Smriti Mandhana. Amid increasing online speculation about their relationship, Muchhal maintained a calm and low-key presence while still acknowledging photographers at the airport.
Muchhal arrived with his mother, Amita, and other family members, marking his first sighting since both families halted the wedding preparations. Dressed in a black pajama set paired with a matching shirt and jacket, he was seen holding a book as he exited the terminal. Security personnel accompanied him as he made his way to his vehicle, while his mother was spotted interacting warmly with people outside the airport.
Multiple clips from the outing have circulated on social media, showing Muchhal opting for a composed approach—neither avoiding the media nor engaging extensively with them.
This appearance comes days after the couple’s November 23 wedding date was postponed following a medical emergency involving Mandhana’s father. Concern deepened when Palash himself was admitted to a hospital shortly after. He initially sought treatment at a facility in Sangli before being shifted to a Mumbai hospital when his symptoms persisted.
According to Dr. Dipendra Tripathi, who spoke to Midday, Muchhal’s condition appeared to be “stress-related distress rather than a serious cardiac event.”
Despite widespread speculation online—including unverified rumours of infidelity—the couple has not issued any public statement. For now, both families remain focused on health-related matters, and no new wedding date has been announced.
