Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that more than 1 crore 24 lakh women beneficiaries of the Subhadra Yojana will receive special financial assistance as a Raksha Bandhan gift from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
The third installment of the Subhadra Yojana will be disbursed from Jeypore in Koraput district on August 9, marking the festive occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Parida further informed that the CM will visit Kotia in Koraput to review the ongoing schemes and ensure that Odia families in the border area also receive the Subhadra Yojana benefits.
She emphasized that the government is committed to covering all eligible women under the scheme, assuring that those left out due to certain hurdles will be included in phases.
The Subhadra Yojana, aimed at empowering women across Odisha through financial support, saw over 1.83 lakh beneficiaries excluded from its second installment, sparking concern and calls for reform in implementation.
