The Orissa High Court announced its winter vacation beginning December 25, marking today as the last working day of regular court sessions.
The court will resume full operations on Monday, January 5, 2026.
In its notification, the High Court declared January 2, 2026 (Thursday) as a special holiday. To compensate, the court will function on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
A vacation bench will operate on December 30, 2025, comprising Justice Sabitri Rath and Justice M.S. Raman, who will hear various cases. Additionally, Justice Savitri Rath, Justice Aditya Kumar Mohapatra, and Justice M.S. Raman will sit on separate single benches to dispose of matters.
The court’s administrative office will remain open from December 26 to 31, 2025, between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. The computer filing counter for new cases will function on working days from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon.
For urgent matters, advocates can submit mention memos in the drop box at the Deputy Registrar (Judicial) office between 11:00 am and 12:00 noon on December 29, 2025.
