The Odisha Public Service Commission has released the programme for the Odisha Civil Services Main (Written) Examination-2025.
As per the notice, the written exam will be held from 29 October to 7 November 2026.
Papers will be conducted in two sittings each exam day: 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the forenoon and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the afternoon. Candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwD) will get one extra hour — sitting from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Day-by-day programme
- 29 October (Thursday): Paper-I Odia Language (forenoon); Paper-II English Language (afternoon)
- 30 October (Friday): Paper-I Essay (forenoon only)
- 2 November (Monday): General Studies Paper-I (forenoon); General Studies Paper-II (afternoon)
- 4 November (Wednesday): General Studies Paper-III (forenoon); General Studies Paper-IV (afternoon)
- 7 November (Saturday): Optional Subject Paper-I (forenoon); Optional Subject Paper-II (afternoon)
Optional papers cover a wide list, including Agriculture, Engineering streams, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, Education, Geography, History, Law, Management, Mathematics, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Statistics, Zoology, and literature in English, Hindi, Odia or Urdu.
The Commission has asked all concerned to take note of the dates. Aspirants should keep admit cards, prescribed stationery and identity documents ready, and follow any further instructions issued by OPSC from Loka Seva Ayog Bhavan, Kataka.
The schedule gives candidates a clear runway of about two months from the date of this notice to finalise revision, optional-subject notes and language-paper practice.
