Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated India’s revamped Multi Agency Centre (MAC) at North Block, New Delhi, marking a significant step forward in national security and intelligence operations.
The new MAC is designed to enhance coordination among intelligence, security, and law enforcement agencies across India.
At the heart of the inauguration was the historic anti-Naxal operation in Karregattalu Hills on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border, showcasing seamless collaboration between security forces. Shah also highlighted Operation Sindoor as a testament to India’s intelligence precision and military prowess.
The upgraded MAC integrates cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Geographic Information System (GIS), and advanced data analytics to provide predictive intelligence and trend analysis. With a budget exceeding ₹500 crore, the MAC ensures nationwide connectivity, including remote and insurgency-affected areas.
Shah emphasised that this intelligence hub will fortify India’s efforts against terrorism, extremism, organised crime, and cyber threats. He praised its swift completion and urged further integration of crucial security databases to enhance operational efficiency.
This transformation positions India at the forefront of global intelligence fusion, reinforcing national security against evolving threats.
The new MAC is expected to set new standards for intelligence-sharing and predictive analytics in the fight against organised crime and terrorism.
