In celebration of Civil Services Day, the Housing & Urban Development Department of the Government of Odisha convened a focused meeting yesterday to discuss its reform agenda, reaffirming its commitment to citizen-centric governance and responsive public service delivery.
The meeting took place in the 3rd Floor Conference Hall of Kharabela Bhawan, chaired by Smt. Usha Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary of the H&UD Department and Chairperson of IDCO. Senior officials from the Department participated in the discussions.
Key policy areas and reform priorities aimed at strengthening governance frameworks and improving efficiency in service delivery were the main focus. Emphasis was placed on streamlining administrative processes, enhancing transparency, and utilising institutional mechanisms to better address citizens’ needs.
Addressing the attendees, Smt. Padhee stated, “Civil Services Day is an occasion to renew our collective resolve to serve with integrity, empathy, and accountability. Our reform agenda must lead to tangible improvements in citizens’ lives by making governance more accessible, efficient, and responsive.”
Reiterating the spirit of the day, the Department committed itself to work with renewed dedication towards people-centric governance, ensuring that public services align with the aspirations of the people of Odisha.
The meeting highlighted the Department’s ongoing commitment to reforms that foster accountability, innovation, and inclusive urban development across the State.
