In a massive push to make Odisha’s electoral rolls cleaner and more accurate, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list is in full swing.
The Chief Electoral Officer has issued an urgent appeal to every citizen: “Help your Booth Level Officer (BLO) so that no eligible voter is left out and no ineligible name sneaks in.”
By Saturday evening, as many as 1,98,97,331 voters — that’s 59.57% of the state’s total electorate — had already received their enumeration forms. The target is clear: complete distribution and collection of these forms by 28 June 2026.
The message from the CEO’s office is loud and simple: If you haven’t yet filled out and submitted your form, do it now. Delay could mean your name disappears from the final voter list. But there’s good news for busy citizens — you don’t even need to wait for the BLO to knock on your door. Just download the form from the official Election Commission website voters.eci.gov.in, fill it out, and upload it online in minutes.
No extra documents are being asked for. The administration has made the process deliberately simple so that genuine voters face zero hassle.
For any doubt or help, citizens can call the toll-free helpline 1950 anytime. The government is also running a big awareness drive across TV, newspapers, radio and cinema halls to ensure the message reaches every corner of the state.
The Chief Electoral Officer has called this “democracy’s big festival” and urged every citizen to play their part: “Let us together ensure that every eligible voter is included and every ineligible name is kept out.”
Your vote counts. Your name on the list matters. Act before 28 June 2026.
