Odisha Vigilance has arrested Sanjay Kumar Kispatta, Executive Engineer of Odisha Construction Corporation (OCC) Ltd., Bhubaneswar, currently deputed to the Lower Suktel Project in Balangir.
He will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore, for possession of disproportionate assets (DA).
Searches across Kispatta’s properties revealed a staggering haul: two multi-storeyed buildings, including a palatial commercial lodge of 8,000 sq. ft. with 23 rooms, nine high-value plots, deposits worth ₹46.09 lakh, ₹1.16 lakh in cash, 325 grams of gold, 1.121 kg of silver, and two four-wheelers. Officials noted that Kispatta failed to provide satisfactory explanations for the sources of these assets.
A case has been registered under Koraput Vigilance PS Case No.15/2026 in accordance with the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018. Vigilance officials described the arrest as part of their intensified crackdown on public servants amassing wealth disproportionate to their income.
