Odisha Vigilance arrested Bhubaneswar Sabar, Executive Engineer of R&B Sub-Division Dharmagarh and in-charge EE of R&B Division Bhawanipatana, for possession of disproportionate assets.
He will be forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhawanipatana.
Searches on his properties revealed massive assets far beyond his known income. Vigilance unearthed five buildings, including four multi-storeyed structures, 83 acres of land spread across 97 plots, two farmhouses covering 17 acres, and one market complex with eight cabins. Officials confirmed that Sabar failed to provide satisfactory explanations for these holdings.
The investigation exposed a clear mismatch between his earnings and accumulated wealth. Vigilance registered Koraput Vigilance PS Case No.07/2026 under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018.
