- March 29: Heatwave conditions are likely to affect Sambalpur and Boudh districts.
- March 30: A yellow warning has been issued for Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, and Kalahandi.
- March 31: The heatwave is expected to intensify, impacting Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Bargarh, and Sundargarh.
The IMD has advised residents, particularly the elderly, children, and outdoor workers, to take precautions and stay hydrated. Authorities are expected to implement heatwave action plans to mitigate the impact of extreme temperatures.
