In a significant breakthrough, the Special Task Force (STF) apprehended ten Bangladeshi nationals at Bhubaneswar Railway Station on Sunday.
Among the detained individuals are six men, three women, and one juvenile, all of whom were found to have entered India illegally without valid travel documents.
According to officials, the group crossed into India near the Dhuburi border in Assam before making their way to Odisha.
The STF team conducted a thorough search and recovered seven mobile phones, along with Bangladeshi and Indian currency notes, during the operation.
The detainees have been charged under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act 1946 and are currently in judicial custody.
