To curb the growing menace of inter-state drug syndicates, the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Police has initiated a statewide special drive.
Acting on directives from the state government, all district Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been mobilised to lead intensive raids over a two-day period.
Plainclothes officers have been deployed across slums, shops, and suspected hideouts to ensure stealth and efficiency. The STF is coordinating closely with national agencies like the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) to track cross-border drug networks.
This crackdown is part of a larger 15-day anti-narcotics operation already underway, with STF SPs spearheading targeted actions. The initiative reflects Odisha’s commitment to eradicating drug trafficking and safeguarding public health.
