The Office of the Transport Commissioner–cum-Chairman, State Transport Authority (STA), Odisha, has directed all Regional Transport Officers (RTOs) and Additional RTOs to conduct a special enforcement drive across the state from December 30 to December 31, 2025.
The directive calls for strict action against major traffic violations, including drunken driving, excessive speed, triple riding, wrong-side driving, and riding without helmets.
Officials confirmed that the enforcement drive will be carried out in full strength with the participation of all Odisha Motor Vehicle Department (OMVD) personnel, including RTOs, Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVIs), Deputy Superintendents of Transport (DSTs), Assistant MVIs, Junior MVIs, Traffic Inspectors (TIs), and Traffic Sub-Inspectors (TSIs).
The STA has instructed that results of the enforcement drive, including the number of e-challans issued for each category of violation, must be submitted in the prescribed format by January 1, 2026.
