Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha on Monday chaired an all-party meet at the Assembly Convention hall to seek cooperation from all the members for smooth function of the House during the Winter Session beginning November 24.
Leader of Opposition Jaynarayan Mishra, Minister Pramila Mallik, Ashok Panda, Government chief whip Prasant Muduli, Congress legislature party chief Narasingha Mishra and Opposition chief whip Mohan Majhi and others took part in the discussion and gave their opinion.
The first supplementary statement of expenditure for 2022-23 is scheduled to be tabled and passed on the first day of the session.
As Covid restrictions were lifted, members can sit in their respective seat and take part in the House activities. Media persons will also be allowed to cover from the press gallery.
Members who want to participate in the House business through video conferencing on health ground will be allowed and necessary arrangements will be made for them, the Speaker said.
The winter session of the Assembly will begin from November 24. The session having 33 working and five ‘no meeting’ days will continue till December 31.
