The Orissa High Court delivered a significant ruling in the ongoing Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam scam.
The court rejected anticipatory bail pleas filed by three accused — Gopal Krushna Das, Anwesh Nayak, and Gobinda Tripathy.
The trio faces serious allegations of involvement in widespread corruption during the SI recruitment process. Investigations by the CBI and Odisha Police have already led to multiple arrests. These three accused sought anticipatory bail to avoid arrest, but the High Court dismissed their applications.
Following the decision, authorities are expected to move swiftly to arrest the accused. The scam has drawn widespread attention across Odisha, with allegations of cheating, bribery, and manipulation of recruitment procedures.
Sources indicated that the High Court’s ruling will accelerate the investigation and strengthen efforts to ensure transparency in recruitment. Observers believe the verdict will help restore public trust in the fairness of government hiring processes.
