The Odisha government has announced that schools across the state will now reopen on June 20, two days later than the previously scheduled June 18.
The decision was communicated through an official letter from the School and Mass Education Department to district education officers, instructing them to ensure a smooth resumption of academic activities.
Authorities stated that the change was made keeping in mind logistical and preparatory considerations for students returning after summer vacation. Schools have been directed to maintain preventive measures and ensure proper classroom readiness before reopening.
Students and parents had expected academic sessions to resume on June 18, but the revised schedule offers additional time for preparations, allowing educators to set up learning environments effectively.
