The Government of Odisha has released a revised timeline for Phase-I admission into undergraduate courses for the academic session 2026–27 under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
The Higher Education Department confirmed that the new schedule applies to all state public universities, government, aided, and unaided colleges, as well as law colleges.
The government introduced free education for students enrolling in regular mode UG and PG courses under SAMS from this academic year. Applicants can reopen their choice filling options from July 8 (2 PM) to July 12 (11:45 PM) through the SAMS portal.



The admission process will proceed in multiple rounds:
- Second Round: Seat allotment on July 20, with reporting and payment between July 21–23.
- Third/Final Round: Seat allotment on July 29, followed by reporting and payment until August 1.
- Waiting/Spot Round: Publication of waitlisted applicants on August 4, with reporting between August 5–6.
- Merit List Publication: August 7, followed by final admission and fee collection on August 10–11.
Classes for Degree 1st Year will commence on July 27, 2026, while the Phase-II admission process will begin after the declaration of CHSE supplementary results.
