Odisha’s Science and Technology Minister, Krushna Chandra Patra, conducted a high-level review of the recent wall collapse at the Pathani Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar.
The incident, triggered by heavy rainfall on Saturday, saw a portion of the planetarium’s southern boundary wall crumble, prompting urgent action from the state government.
During a review meeting held this morning, Minister Patra, accompanied by Principal Secretary Smt. Chitra Arumugam and other senior officials assessed the situation. He ordered an immediate investigation into the cause of the collapse and directed officials to expedite the reconstruction of the damaged wall. The minister’s swift response came after local residents raised concerns about the incident, highlighting the need for prompt repairs to ensure safety.
