The Odisha Home Department on Friday issued a notification transferring and posting six Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to new positions across the state.
According to Notification No. 30518/IPS dated August 21, 2026, the following officers have been transferred with immediate effect:
- Himansu Kumar Lal, IPS (RR-2003)
Presently IG of Police, Northern Range, Sambalpur, has been posted as IG of Police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Bhubaneswar and Special Task Force (STF). - Satyabrat Bhoi, IPS (RR-2004)
Presently IG of Police, Northern Central Range, Talcher (with additional charge of Principal, Police Training College, Angul), has been posted as IG of Police, Intelligence. - Jai Narayan Pankaj, IPS (RR-2005)
Presently IG of Police, Intelligence, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, has been posted as IG of Police, Southern Range, Brahmapur. - Niti Shekhar, IPS (RR-2007)
Presently IG of Police, Southern Range, Brahmapur, has been posted as IG of Police (Provisioning), State Police Headquarters. - Charan Singh Meena, IPS (RR-2009)
Presently DIG of Police, Provisioning, has been posted as DIG of Police, Northern Range, Sambalpur. - Ashish Kumar Singh, IPS (RR-2010)
Who recently joined the Home Department after repatriation from Central Deputation, has been posted as DIG of Police, Northern Central Range, Talcher, with additional charge of Principal, Police Training College, Angul.
