In a significant step toward enhancing healthcare delivery in Odisha, Health Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling held a productive discussion with representatives of various Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) at the Lok Seva Bhawan conference hall today.

The meeting focused on critical healthcare issues, emphasising the state’s commitment to providing quality medical services and raising public awareness at the grassroots level under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

Dr. Mahaling briefed the NGOs on the state’s healthcare objectives, aligning them with the vision of accessible and effective healthcare for all. A key highlight of the discussion was the upcoming launch of the *‘Healthy Women, Empowered Families’* campaign, set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, 2025, from Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh.

The minister elaborated on how this initiative aims to benefit women and girls across the state and urged NGOs to play an active role in ensuring its success. He emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts to make the campaign impactful at the community level.

The meeting saw participation from Health Secretary Ashwathy S., National Health Mission (NHM) Mission Director Dr. Brunda D., and other departmental officials. Representatives from NGOs across various districts joined the discussion virtually, contributing to a comprehensive dialogue on strengthening healthcare initiatives.
