In a significant bureaucratic shuffle, the Government of Odisha has effected key transfers among senior officers of the Odisha Administrative Service (OAS), reshaping the leadership across departments and districts.
Sucharu Kumar Bal, OAS (SAG), previously Additional Secretary in the Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department, has been appointed as Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Rairangpur, Mayurbhanj. His posting is ratified under Sub Section-2 of Section-14 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023.
Meanwhile, Binod Kumar Senapati, OAS (S), formerly posted as ADM, Rairangpur, has now been reassigned as Joint Secretary to the Government in the PR & DW Department. The previous notification regarding his ADM posting stands cancelled.
Additionally, Prafulla Kumar Swain, OAS (SAG), serving as Additional Secretary to the Government in the GA & PG Department and attached to the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell, has been transferred to the Steel & Mines Department as Additional Secretary.
The reshuffle, effective August 2, aims to streamline departmental functions and enhance governance efficiency in line with recent policy directives.
