The Home Department of the Government of Odisha has issued a notification transferring several Odisha Police Service (OPS) officers to new postings, effective immediately.
The transfers, announced on Thursday, aim to streamline administrative functions across various police units.
The following officers have been transferred and posted to the places mentioned against each:
- **Bimalendu Satapathy**: Transferred from OPS (SAG), DCP, Police Commissionerate, Cuttack to S.P., State Police Headquarters, Cuttack.
- **Kishore Chandra Mund**: Moved from Addl. D.C.P., Police Commissionerate, Commissionerate, BBRS-CTC, BBSR to Commissionerate.
- **Anup Kumar Kanungo**: Relocated from OPS (S) In-situ, Addl. D.C.P., Police Commissionerate, BBRS-CTC, BBSR to DCP, Police Commissionerate.
- **Srikanta Kumar Behera**: Shifted from OPS (S) In-situ, Addl. S.P., State Police Headquarters, Cuttack to S.P., EOW, Bhubaneswar.
- **Surendra Nath Rayaguru**: Transferred from OPS (S) In-situ, Addl. S.P. Talcher Headquarters, Angul to S.P., State Police Headquarters, Cuttack.

- **Satyajit Mishra**: Moved from OPS (S) In-situ, Addl. S.P., Railways to A.I.G of Police, Marine & Coastal Security.
The orders were issued under the directive of the Governor, with additional support from the Additional Secretary to the Government.
The transfers are effective as of August 21, 2025, and are expected to enhance operational efficiency across the state’s police force.
