Odisha’s Commerce and Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena announced that green PUCC stickers will be distributed free of cost at all Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) across the state.
Speaking to the media, Jena clarified: “Green PUCC stickers are not mandatory and are free of charge. Vehicle owners should be present when collecting them.”
The distribution of free stickers forms part of the Commerce and Transport Department’s strict measures to curb violations of motor vehicle rules. Moreover, the initiative aims to reduce air pollution, particularly in urban and high-traffic areas where emissions remain a pressing concern.
By offering stickers at no cost, the government seeks to encourage compliance among vehicle owners and strengthen monitoring mechanisms. Additionally, the move highlights Odisha’s commitment to improving environmental standards and ensuring cleaner air for residents.
