Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have announced the inclusion of Indian pacer Shardul Thakur as a replacement for left-arm fast bowler Mohsin Khan, who has been ruled out of the 18th season of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury.
The franchise confirmed that Mohsin Khan’s injury setback forced them to make the change ahead of the tournament. Known for his knack of picking up crucial wickets and his handy lower-order batting, Shardul Thakur is expected to strengthen LSG’s bowling attack.
Shardul, often nicknamed ‘Lord Thakur’ by fans for his game-changing performances, brings with him vast IPL experience, having previously represented teams like Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, and Kolkata Knight Riders.
The 18th edition of IPL is already generating excitement, and Shardul’s addition to LSG is expected to boost their pace arsenal as they aim for a strong run this season.
