The Odisha government will host a mega job fair at Kalinga Stadium on November 25, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will distribute more than 7,000 appointment letters to selected candidates.

To begin with, the event marks one of the largest recruitment drives in recent years, covering 13 key departments. Officials confirmed that the Home Department will issue 2,350 job letters, while the School and Mass Education Department will provide 2,750. Furthermore, the Forest and Environment Department will distribute 1,750. In addition, smaller allocations will be made across other departments including Information and Public Relations (39), Higher Education (74), Water Resources (36), Labour (15), Steel and Mines (14), Commerce and Transport (14), Fisheries (27), Planning and Coordination (8), and Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment.

Meanwhile, the government prepared a list of selected candidates in advance to ensure smooth distribution during the event. Moreover, a preparatory meeting was held to finalise arrangements, with officials emphasising transparency and efficiency in the process.

As a result, Chief Minister Majhi will attend as the chief guest and personally hand over the appointment letters. Authorities stated that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to employment generation and youth empowerment.

Finally, the mega job fair is expected to draw significant attention, as thousands of families across Odisha await the official distribution. The recruitment drive highlights the state’s focus on strengthening education, environment, agriculture, and public service sectors.
