Commissioner‑cum‑Secretary Yamini Sarangi issued the order on July 31, instructing engineers to begin work without delay across all affected divisions.
Field reports confirm breaches and damage to road infrastructure, disrupting connectivity and causing hardship for residents. Officials have been told to carry out repairs strictly as per prescribed procedures to ensure safety and quality. Vulnerable areas must be closely monitored, with preventive steps and restoration measures taken promptly.
Until normal traffic resumes, sites are to be secured with barricades, warning signs, and traffic diversions. The department has also mandated submission of detailed reports covering the scale of damage, works undertaken, and geo‑tagged photographs for further action.
