Odisha Govt Cancels MoU with Vedanta for construction of medical college in Kalahandi

Bhubaneswar : The Odisha government on Wednesday cancelled the MoU with Vedanta for a medical college in Kalahandi district due to an inordinate delay in execution of the work. The Health & Family Welfare Department issued an order in this regard. According to reports, the Works department will implement the remaining construction work of a 500-bedded Teaching Hospital for the Medical College at Bhawanipatan in Kalahandi district. It may be mentioned here that Odisha Govt and Vedanta Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on March 27, 2018 for the construction of the medical college. function
