In anticipation of the revered annual Rath Yatra, Jagannath Temple Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee personally met Odisha Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati at Raj Bhavan to extend an official invitation for the grand festivities.
Dr. Padhee’s visit marks a significant tradition in which dignitaries are invited to take part in the historic event that symbolises devotion, heritage, and cultural unity. The Rath Yatra, scheduled to commence on June 27, 2025, sees millions of devotees pulling the massive chariots of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple.
Expressing his gratitude, the Governor thanked Dr. Padhee for the invitation and shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming event. He stated, “The Rath Yatra is a revered tradition, a symbol of Odisha’s deep-rooted faith and legacy. I look forward to participating in this sacred occasion.”
