The flood situation in Odisha remains under control, with relief, rescue, response and restoration measures continuing across affected areas.
While conditions have improved in several districts, fresh heavy rainfall in Mayurbhanj has caused localised impacts, prompting continued vigilance by the State Government and district administrations.
In Jajpur district, Dasarathpur block remains affected, with 62 villages across 19 GPs impacted. A total of 7,745 people are affected, and 22 relief camps are operational.
In Mayurbhanj district, 18 blocks, 48 GPs and 84 villages, along with two wards of Baripada Municipality, have been affected. 2,763 people are impacted, with 2,076 evacuated to 11 relief camps.
Relief camps are equipped with safe drinking water, sanitation, lighting, medical support and food, with special arrangements for children, pregnant women, elderly persons and persons with disabilities.
Deployment today includes 22 response teams across Jajpur, Baleshwar and Mayurbhanj, comprising ODRAF and Fire & Emergency Services units. In total, 157 response teams are currently active across affected districts.
The State recorded an average rainfall of 8.9 mm in the last 24 hours, with Bangriposi block in Mayurbhanj reporting 309.2 mm. River levels remain under close watch.
The Special Relief Commissioner’s office continues 24×7 monitoring through the State Emergency Operation Centre, coordinating with DEOCs. Orange and Yellow rainfall warnings have been issued for several districts, with advisories for preparedness and public safety.
