In a major push to strengthen electoral integrity, Odisha Chief Electoral Officer R.S. Gopalan today chaired a high-level all-party meeting at the CEO’s office conference hall.
Representatives from recognised political parties joined the discussion to review preparations for the much-anticipated publication of the Draft Electoral Roll on July 5, 2026.
The meeting assessed the successful completion of the Special Summary Revision-2026, progress in digitisation of voter records, and final arrangements for releasing the draft list. CEO Gopalan urged all political parties to play an active role in the verification process so that no eligible voter is left out and the final electoral roll remains accurate, inclusive, and error-free.
“The Draft Electoral Roll will be published on July 5. From July 5 to August 4, 2026, citizens and parties can file claims and objections,” the CEO stated, emphasising collaborative vigilance.
After publication, voters can make corrections through the following forms:
- Form-6: Add new names
- Form-7: Delete names
- Form-8: Make modifications or corrections
The meeting was attended by Additional CEO Sushant Kumar Mishra, Deputy CEO Dr Lakshmi Prasad Sahu, Anamika Singh, and representatives from major parties including BSP (Madhusudan Yadav), CPI(M) (Suresh Chandra Panigrahi), INC (Prakash Mishra), AAP (Sandipta Das), and BJD (Debi Prasad Mishra & Bijay Kumar Nayak).
This coordinated effort reflects Odisha’s strong commitment to a transparent, fair, and voter-friendly electoral process ahead of future elections.
