Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi participated in the State-Level Revenue Officers’ Conference held at Lok Seva Bhawan, emphasising the pivotal role of Tehsildars in grassroots administration.

He highlighted the need for prompt grievance redressal and urged officers to ensure that their offices become a place of trust rather than fear.

During the event, the CM reiterated his government’s commitment to modernising land administration and ensuring that no resident remains landless. He announced that individuals with less than 4 decimals of land would also be classified as landless and provided with land by the government. Additionally, he praised Odisha’s successful handling of Cyclone “Dana,” which saw the safe relocation of over 8.1 lakh people to secure shelters.

Majhi reaffirmed his administration’s policy of “zero tolerance” towards corruption, stating that integrity and dedication to public service must be the guiding principles of revenue officers. He emphasised the importance of timely resolutions of land-related disputes and the proper verification of land ownership to prevent irregularities, especially concerning tribal and scheduled caste land transactions.

The conference witnessed participation from key officials, including Revenue and Disaster Management Secretary Deoranjan Kumar Singh, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, and Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, along with district-level officers from across Odisha.
