Cuttack: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday inaugurated the 100-bed state-of-the-art KIMS Rural Hospital at Kalarabank in Cuttack District.
The Chief Minister also dedicated Kalarabank Smart Village and laid the foundation for 19 KIMS Rural Hospitals in various districts of the State.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the rural hospital will play a pivotal role in providing better healthcare services to the people of the area and it would create a new identity for Kalarabank Smart Village.
The Chief Minister further said that doing something for one’s village and for one’s motherland is the greatest life satisfaction. Thanking Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIMS and Kandhamal MP, for the transformation of Kalarabank village, the CM said if we all work responsibly for our village and motherland, the goal of transformation will be achieved soon.
The Chief Minister also expressed his happiness that 19 more 100-bed rural hospitals are being built in various districts of the State by KIMS.
The CM said that every life is precious to us. We are working with this great goal in our healthcare sector and we are working on priority so that every family in Odisha can get good healthcare. In this regard, AMA Hospital, BSKY, BSKY Nabin Card and other schemes have been implemented. The participation of private companies like KIMS in this initiative of the government will further strengthen the healthcare sector, the CM added.
Delivering a welcome address, KIMS founder Achyuta Samanta said that education and health are two indispensable aspects of society. The Chief Minister has taken these two aspects very seriously and has taken them to the top by developing them. The Chief Minister gives equal priority to the development of both urban and rural areas. Today, Kalarabank village has all the amenities of a city. He said that the sincerity of the Chief Minister and the encouragement of 5T & Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian in this regard are commendable.
Participating in the program, the 5T Chairman praised the great contribution of Achyuta Samanta to his native land and in the field of healthcare of the state.
Joining the event as guests, MLA Chandra Sarathi Behera said that there was a time when people of Odisha were going to foreign states for treatment. Today, people from other states are coming here for treatment and study. All this is possible because of the visionary ideas and programs of the Chief Minister. He said that this state-of-the-art hospital in Kalarabank will provide better quality healthcare to the people of the area as well as the people of the district and neighbouring districts.
It is worth noting that this hospital has a 24-hour emergency service, 24-hour ambulance service, state-of-the-art diagnostic centre, ICU, CT Scan, HDU, MRI, cabin, ultrasound, OT, state-of-the-art laboratory, general ward, physiotherapy centre and all the latest medical services have been made available by KIMS. This hospital will be useful for BSKY beneficiaries and lower-middle-class people.
Foundations stones for KIMS Rural Hospital will laid in the districts of Balangir, Kalahandi, Baripada, Keonjhar, Balasore, Puri, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Koraput, Shivpur (Jagatsinghpur), Lunibahal and Manamunda (Boudh), Panikoilii (Jajpur), Baliguda, Phulbani and G. Udayagiri (Kandhamal), Daspalla (Nayagarh) and Bhanjanagar and Narasinghpur (Ganjam). About 150 residents of the respective districts will be employed in all these hospitals.
