Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday marked two years of his government in office, expressing gratitude to the people of the state and reaffirming his commitment to building a prosperous, empowered and developed Odisha through service, dedication and good governance.

Reflecting on June 12, 2024, when he took oath as Chief Minister, Majhi said the journey of the last two years has been driven by the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the unwavering trust of the people of Odisha.

He stated that the government has earned public confidence through its people-centric approach and continuous efforts to deliver development across sectors.

‘People’s Trust Is Our Greatest Strength’

In a message to the people of Odisha, Majhi said he considers himself not merely the Chief Minister but a son of the soil who remains deeply connected to the aspirations and challenges of ordinary citizens.

Recalling his journey from being a teacher to serving as a sarpanch, MLA and now Chief Minister, he said public service has remained the guiding principle throughout his political career.

“The Chief Minister’s post is not a seat of power for me but a sacred medium to serve the people,” he said.

Majhi also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his guidance and acknowledged the support and blessings of the people of Odisha.

Government Focused on Inclusive Growth

Highlighting the achievements of the past two years, the Chief Minister said his administration has worked to ensure balanced development from villages to cities and across all sections of society.

According to Majhi, the government has focused on strengthening key sectors such as:

  • Agriculture
  • Industry
  • Education
  • Healthcare
  • Rural development
  • Infrastructure
  • Employment generation

He said the development initiatives undertaken over the last two years reflect the government’s commitment to improving the lives of people across Odisha.

Vision for a Prosperous Odisha

The Chief Minister emphasized that his vision is to transform Odisha into a prosperous, strong and developed state.

He described this goal as a collective aspiration shared by more than 4.5 crore Odias and called for greater public participation in the state’s development journey.

Majhi said the progress achieved so far is not merely a measure of time spent in office but the result of a dedicated mission focused on service, development and public welfare.

Call for Collective Effort

Urging citizens to continue supporting the state’s development agenda, Majhi said Odisha’s growth story can be accelerated through collective effort and shared responsibility.

He reiterated that every moment of his life remains dedicated to the service of Odisha and its people.

“The love, trust and support of the people are the greatest source of strength for this government,” he said, adding that citizens are the true heroes behind Odisha’s development journey.

As the Mohan Majhi government enters its third year, the administration has signalled that development, good governance and public welfare will remain at the centre of its agenda for a stronger and more prosperous Odisha.
