Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi departed for New Delhi on Tuesday evening to participate in key national-level meetings involving NDA-ruled states and the NITI Aayog Governing Council.

The visit comes as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) marks 12 years of governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

NDA Chief Ministers’ Meeting at Bharat Mandapam

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to attend the NDA Chief Ministers’ conclave at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The meeting will bring together chief ministers and deputy chief ministers from NDA-governed states to discuss governance initiatives, development priorities, and future policy strategies.

According to sources, the conclave is expected to review the achievements of the Modi government over the past 12 years and outline a roadmap for the coming years.

The gathering will also provide an opportunity for states to share best practices and discuss effective implementation of welfare and development programmes.

Odisha to Present Its Development Priorities at NITI Aayog Meeting

On Thursday, the Odisha Chief Minister will participate in the NITI Aayog Governing Council Meeting, one of the country’s most important policy forums involving the Prime Minister, Union ministers, and state chief ministers.

During the meeting, Majhi is expected to present Odisha’s perspective on key development issues and highlight the state’s priorities in areas such as infrastructure, industrial growth, agriculture, education, healthcare, and investment.

The Governing Council meeting serves as a platform for cooperative federalism, allowing states to directly engage with the Centre on policy formulation and implementation.

Focus on Development and Centre-State Coordination

The Delhi visit is considered significant as Odisha continues to pursue accelerated economic growth, infrastructure expansion, and investment promotion under the state government’s development agenda.

Officials said the Chief Minister is likely to discuss Odisha’s ongoing projects, future investment opportunities, and areas requiring greater cooperation between the Centre and the state.

Return to Bhubaneswar on Thursday

After completing his engagements in New Delhi, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is expected to return to Bhubaneswar on Thursday night.

The outcomes of both meetings are expected to influence Odisha’s policy planning and development initiatives in the coming months.
