Odisha government has sanctioned more than ₹107.70 crore from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to provide immediate cash assistance to families hit by Cyclone Arnab in Ganjam and Koraput districts.
Of the total amount, ₹107.44 crore has been allocated to Ganjam district for 4,29,782 affected families, while ₹26.27 lakh has been earmarked for 1,051 families in Koraput. Each eligible family will receive ₹2,500 as gratuitous relief under the package announced by the Chief Minister.
The funds have been placed at the disposal of the respective District Collectors for quick disbursement as per prescribed norms.
