Odisha Cabinet Approves 10 Key Proposals

Odisha Cabinet Clears 10 Proposals Across Culture, Welfare, Law & Energy; Special Assembly Session on Agenda

In a significant administrative push, the Odisha State Cabinet convened its 40th meeting today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhavan.


The high-level session saw detailed deliberations resulting in the approval of 10 proposals spanning seven key departments, signalling the government’s continued focus on governance, welfare, and development initiatives.

Following the meeting, Chief Secretary Anu Garg briefed the media on the decisions taken. The approved proposals covered a diverse range of sectors, including culture and language preservation, fisheries and animal resources, tribal and scheduled caste welfare, food security, legal reforms, and energy infrastructure.

Notably, three proposals originated from the Law Department and two from the Energy Department. One of the key highlights was a proposal related to the convening of a special session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, aimed at addressing urgent legislative business.

Departments and Proposals Approved:

  • Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department: 1 proposal
  • Fisheries & Animal Resources Development: 1 proposal
  • ST & SC Development Department: 1 proposal
  • Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare: 1 proposal
  • Law Department: 3 proposals
  • Energy Department: 2 proposals
