The Land Allotment Committee (LAC), chaired by IDCO Chairperson Usha Padhee, IAS, convened at IDCO Towers in Bhubaneswar and approved land allocations for 31 long-pending industrial projects.
This decision marks a significant step toward accelerating investment and industrial growth in the state. The approvals are expected to unlock substantial investments and create considerable employment opportunities across various sectors.
Among the 31 approved projects, many belong to the MSME sector, along with proposals from industries such as apparel and textiles, food processing, engineering, and other emerging sectors. Priority was given to projects proposed in non-industrial districts, including Koraput, Kalahandi, Rayagada, and other backward regions. This reaffirms the state’s commitment to balanced and inclusive industrial development.
The meeting was attended by D. Prasanth Kumar Reddy, Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the MSME Department and Managing Director of IDCO; Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Managing Director of IPICOL; Aboli Sunil Naravane, Director of Industries; and Kaustuva Dipta Pany, Executive Director of OCAC, along with other senior officials and committee members.
The LAC reiterated its focus on transparent processes, timely decisions, and proactive facilitation to strengthen investor confidence and promote regionally distributed economic growth in Odisha.
