In a significant move to ensure error-free and student-friendly CBSE Board Examinations, a high-level review-cum-preparatory meeting was convened today under the chairmanship of Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, School & Mass Education Department, Government of Odisha.
The virtual meeting brought together Principals of all Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs) to assess last year’s performance and finalise robust arrangements for the upcoming examinations.
Dr. Naik laid strong emphasis on improving student outcomes in the 2025–26 academic session. He directed every Principal to implement focused academic interventions, strengthen student support systems, and maintain the highest standards of academic excellence across the OAV network.
This year, 17,041 students from 250 OAVs will appear for the Class X CBSE examination, while 4,747 students from 214 OAVs will take the Class XII (Science) examination. The Central Board of Secondary Education has designated official examination centres across the state.
“The CBSE Board Examinations are a defining milestone in our students’ academic journey,” said Dr Naik. “We are fully committed to conducting these examinations in a smooth, fair, and completely transparent manner in every Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya.”
He instructed all school heads to strictly follow CBSE guidelines, ensure fool-proof logistical arrangements, maintain strict examination security, and provide every possible support to students, including counselling and grievance redressal mechanisms.
The meeting was attended by the State Project Director, OAVS; Additional Secretary, School & Mass Education Department; Joint Director, OAVS; Deputy Director, OAVS, and other senior officials.
With meticulous planning, strong administrative coordination, and a clear focus on student welfare, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas are fully prepared to deliver a seamless and successful CBSE Board Examination season.
